The Wellesley has been a hotel in London where I have wanted to stay at for a while, but it is often fully booked due to it's outstanding reputation.
During my recent trip to Europe for Pitti Uomo 90, I managed to sneak a night in when flying through London and as expected I was extremely impressed.
From my initial greeting by the front of house team, to the tour around the stylish hotel, everything seemed to be very well put together.
My bedroom was large and included all the facilities you could wish for and it also included a personal butler which was exceptional. They organised for my shirts to be pressed, free of charge within 30 minutes, collected a UK sim for me and even took me to dinner in their private Rolls Royce Ghost.
The Cigar Lounge - The UK's most luxurious cigar lounge is a good enough reason to check out the hotel alone, with its lavish walk in humidor, carrying a rare selection of Cigars with Whiskys to match.
Before departing, I enjoyed breakfast at Oval Restaurant and again I was most impressed with the service and the cuisine, first class on all counts.
The Wellesley will definitely be my 'go to' hotel when staying in London from now on.
